Library Things
Well I must say I think this is a great tool for finding other books and authors on genres, subjects and styles you enjoy. I have always had trouble in finding similar books and the suggestions and recommendations on Library Thing are a god send!
The book descriptions are also a great idea when making a decision as to whether or not a certain book is appealing to you.
Well the list of authors whose books I enjoy reading will no longer be limited now that I have found this site. I can't wait to borrow some of the suggested titles from my local library and see if they are indeed similar to those books I've enjoyed reading in the past.

Finding Feeds
I can see how these sights would be useful for finding blogs, podcasts, news etc. on a variety of subjects but some of the information is quite outdated. Who manages this? Do you have to wade through hundreds of pages to find a relevant up to date article?
I also found that the searching techniques were not outlined on many and on some not working.
With feedster, although taking you to RSS feed sights I found to be quite difficult to locate any useful information.
Syndic8.com directory was easy to use, had some quite good articles but once more, many out of date.
Technorati - my first attempt of searching "Library design" brought me to a feed entitled "So I'm thinking about starting a porn blog" - interesting!!!! Maybe not!!
Google's Blog Search tool was the most useful I thought. Easy to use and yielded the most up to date, topic specific finds.
Extra places to search, no extra time!!!
